SUMMARY:Invited: Neuromorphic Vision Modalities in the NimbleAI 3D Chip
DESCRIPTION:Special Session (Research)\n\nXabier Iturbe (Ikerlan Technolog
y Centre)\n\nThis talk will discuss the neuromorphic approach in NimbleAI
project combining a vertebrate eye-inspired foveated DVS chip coupled with
an insect eye-inspired microlens array to sense and process light fields
at different resolution levels with minimal latency and energy consumption
. This sensor encodes 3D visual surroundings as sparse spikes in a 4D spat
iotemporal domain adding depth to the current neuromorphic representation
of visual information. The proposed sensor harnesses emerging 3D silicon i
ntegration technology to squeeze foveated DVS circuitry, memory, and SNN e
ngines into a miniature silicon volume resembling the 3D structure of eyes
and brains packed with photoreceptors and neurons.\n\nTopic: Design\n\nSe
