SUMMARY:Ask-EDA: A conversational agent for tools, methodology, technology
  and design problems
DESCRIPTION:Engineering Track Poster\n\nMichael Kazda, Bradley Sears, and
Nicholas Shropshire (IBM) and Luyao Shi (IBM Research)\n\nLarge language m
odels (LLMs), like ChatGPT, has been shown to be quite effective at provid
ing information retrieval. By leveraging conversational AI, we have exten
ded the functionality of the our in-house stack overflow-like system. We p
rovide a virtual assistant capable of answering questions about design, te
chnology, and tools that our design team needs. We ingest design manuals,
methodology and tool documentation, education materials and use retrieval
augmentation generation with a LLM to respond to queries. We have built a
private, on-premises system that keeps our confidential data in-house. We
'll show early progress for this project.\n\nTopic: Back-End Design, Embed
 ded Systems, Front-End Design, IP
