SUMMARY:AutoFlow: Inferring Message Flows From System Communication Traces
DESCRIPTION:Work-in-Progress Poster\n\nBardia Nadimi and Hao Zheng (Univer
sity of South Florida)\n\nThis paper proposes a novel method for automatic
ally inferring message flow specifications from the communication traces o
f a system-on-chip (SoC) design that captures messages exchanged among the
components during a system execution. \nThe inferred message flows charac
terize the communication and coordination of components in a system design
for realizing various system functions, and they are essential for SoC va
lidation and debugging.\nThe proposed method relieves the burden of manual
development and maintenance of such specifications on human designers. \n
Our method also develops a new accuracy metric, acceptance ratio, to evalu
ate the quality of the mined specifications instead of the specification s
ize often used in the previous work, enabling more accurate specifications
to be mined. \nThe effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated on b
oth synthetic traces and traces generated from executing several system mo
dels in GEM5.\nIn both cases, the proposed method achieves superior accura
cies compared to a previous approach.\n\nTopic: AI, Autonomous Systems, Cl
