Amit Kumar
Biography
Amit has 20+ years of experience in CAD and methodologies, PDK development, SOC design and verification, business development, people management and program management.
He is working as Principal Hardware Engineer with Microsoft’s CAD team responsible for Physical Verification Flows and methodology, ESD, EMIR and 3DIC Flow for Microsoft Hardware products. Previously he worked as Design Enablement/Process Design Kits (PDK) Architect at GlobalFoundries, Santa Clara, CA and Techlead for FDSOI technologies securing billion of dollar design wins.
Amit lived and worked at multiple countries including US, Germany, India and have people, project management, program execution experience. He presented 12+ technical presentations at leading conferences and University.
He received the B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Rajasthan, Rajasthan, India, in 2004, Post Graduate diploma in VLSI Design from C-DAC, Pune, India, in 2005 and the M.S. degree in Microelectronics from Manipal University, Manipal, India, in 2013.
Amit is a Senior member of IEEE and member of IEEE standards association. Successfully conducted multiple STEM events for high/middle school students. He is long term volunteer at local food banks and community events. He likes travelling and learning about people and their culture.
